Gas systems

Inert Gas

SANCO Clean Agent fire suppression systems represent the safest and most effective solution for protecting critical assets and sensitive environments.

The action of these gaseous or rapidly evaporating extinguishing agents is clean and leaves no residue, eliminating cleanup costs and collateral damage.

Furthermore, their electrically non-conductive nature makes them ideal for use on energized equipment. The action mechanism of inert gases, such as Inergen (IG-541), Nitrogen (IG-100), Argon (IG-01) and IG-55 (a mixture composed of 50% Argon and 50% Nitrogen), is based on the controlled reduction of oxygen (from 21% to a level between 12–15%), which inhibits combustion. Crucially, these systems are designed to be safe for use in occupied spaces.

This technology is the ideal choice for protecting:

  • Data Centers and Server Rooms
  • Electrical Rooms and Control Panels
  • Museums, Archives and Libraries
  • Medical Facilities and Laboratories
  • Control Rooms and High-Tech Manufacturing

SANCO offers complete end-to-end clean Agent systems designed to meet wide range of requirements. Our systems come in cylinders of varying capacities (80L–140L) and operating pressures (200 or 300 bar), ensuring the right solution for every application.

Halocarbon Gas

Halocarbon clean Agent fire suppression systems represent the leading-edge technology for protecting critical assets, industrial processes and personnel.

Extinguishing agents such as HFC-227ea (e.g., FM-200™) and FK-5-1-12 (e.g., Novec™ 1230) suppress fires within seconds by absorbing heat and interrupting the chemical reaction of the fire.

Their fundamental characteristic is their complete safety for use in normally occupied areas, unlike other gas-based systems. As clean Agents, they leave no residue, eliminating cleanup costs and preventing collateral damage to sensitive electronic equipment.

Their non-conductive properties and space-saving efficiency make them the ideal solution for safeguarding:

  • Data Centers and Control Rooms
  • Electrical Substations and Telecommunication facilities
  • Archives, museums and laboratories
  • Technical rooms on Oil & Gas platforms and in marine applications

Sanco engineers complete, customized solutions, integrating halocarbon systems with advanced detection platforms.

CO₂

SANCO CO fire suppression systems constitute a technologically advanced solution for rapid, clean and electrically non-conductive suppression.

Their extinguishing principle is based on reducing the oxygen concentration and lowering the temperature within the protected area through the rapid cooling effect of the expanding gas during discharge, effectively suffocating Class B and C fires that involve flammable liquids and energized electrical equipment.

This technology is essential for protecting machinery and sensitive assets where damage from water or chemical agents is unacceptable. Upon discharge, CO evaporates instantly without leaving any residue, thereby eliminating cleanup costs and minimizing operational downtime. The versatility of these systems makes them ideal for safeguarding data centers, electrical rooms, power generation facilities, industrial complexes (such as paint booths and printing presses) and technical spaces within the marine sector.

SANCO S.p.A. engineering complete solutions in both configurations:

  • High-Pressure (HP) Systems: Based on banks of 67-liter cylinders, they are perfect for the protection of localized hazards or contained volumes
  • Low-Pressure (LP) Systems: Utilizing large-capacity refrigerated tanks, they are designed for the protection of vast industrial complexes that require significant quantities of extinguishing agent

To ensure maximum installation flexibility, we supply our systems pre-assembled on modular racks for optimal integration in indoor environments, or within engineered “plug-and-play” containers. This solution is perfect for outdoor or harsh environment installations, offering robust protection for system components in the absence of a dedicated technical room.
